Synopsis

Kathy Bautista is a new hire at B&D Law Firm — freshly passed the bar exam. On her first day, she is mistaken for an intern by the firm's oldest partner, Atty. Marcelo, who asks her to bring him coffee. From that moment, Kathy navigates a workplace shaped by subtle and outright misogyny: a secretary who lectures her to stay quiet, a fellow associate who dismisses her contributions, a superior who uses power to intimidate.

Every choice she makes — to speak up or stay silent, to fight or comply — branches the story into different paths and endings. Barriers in the Boardroom is a hybrid 2D and 3D visual novel about understanding misogyny in Filipino law firms through the decisions we make and the consequences we carry.
